HK actor Edison Chen has taken part in the shooting of the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight" in Hong Kong. Although his role will be relatively small, this would be his second Hollywood starring movie.
Johnnie To supported " The Dark Knight" to be shot in Hong Kong, but he implied that the HK government only treat Hollywood production positively while they do not support the shooting of Hong Kong movies. Danny Pang supported Johnnie To's feeling; he said that he had trouble to shoot his new movie "In Love With The Dead" on the streets and Hong Kong policemen didn't help them.
Andrew Lau had the opposite feeling. He said theHong Kong government was very supportive on the shooting of "Confession of Pain"; but he also added that the Hong Kong government could put more effort in supporting the shooting of Chinese films.
